The Halia's Valentine's Day promotions.
Besides an A La Carte Valentine's Specials menu that will be available from 8 to 13 February, a set-menu titled "Poetic Expressions of Love" will be served at dinner on Valentine's Day. From 8 to 13 February 2012, Chef Reynaldo Arriola offers an A La Carte Valentine's specials menu in celebration of love. The menu includes creations such as the Quartet of baked Sydney rock oysters ($28++), the Rangers Valley waygu beef cheek ($64++) as well as the Raspberry mousse, rose marshmallow and vanilla Chantilly mascarpone cream ($20++).
Create a 3-course (starter, maincourse, dessert) set from the A La Carte Valentine's Specials at $108++ per person (Additional $44++ per person for a wine paired menu with 3 glasses of wine, or additional $52++ per person for a menu paired with 3 glasses of sparkling wine)

"Poetic Expressions of Love" Set Dinner at The Halia - Available 14 February 2012 (Dinner only)
On 14th February, The Halia offers a 4-course Valentine’s set dinner menu. Titled “Poetic Expressions of Love” – each course is served with a note bearing a mood-enhancing love quote from famous poets. The menu features Chef's signatures such as the Foie gras presse with apple reduced in port wine and the Star anise chocolate bar served with salty caramel ice cream and strawberry meringue.
$300 nett per couple includes a 4-course "Poetic Expressions of Love" menu, a single rose, picture souvenier (additional $150 nett per couple for a wine paired menu with 4 glasses of wine)
$500 nett per couple for premium garden-side dining, includes a 4-course "Poetic Expressions of Love" menu, a bouquet of roses, picture souvenier PLUS a bottle of sparkling wine, complimentary tea vouches from The Halia and a limited table by the garden (additional $150 nett per couple for a wine paired menu with 4 glasses of wine)

Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Novus
This Valentine’s Day, Novus introduces a special 4-course menu ($250++ per couple, includes 2 glasses of Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte) that will take guests through a romantic journey in Europe. The “Europe Rendezvous” menu is inspired by Executive Chef Stephan Zoisl’s personal journeys across Europe from France to his hometown in Austria. JURONG LAKE RUNNING CLUB
Jurong Lake Running Club (JLRC), co- organized by Taman Jurong CSC and WCSH, was formed recently to help runners train up for runnings events as well as to keep fit. At present, our training sessions are conducted at Japanese Garden, every Saturday evenings from 5pm to 7.30pm, with experienced peer trainers to guide and pace members. JLRC adopts a well structured training program and offers five types of training sessions- long distance, circuit, fatlek, interval and strengthening training.

I completed my PGA teaching at my home club in the U.K, since then I have taught many people of all ages & of all levels. I specialize in Lady beginners & juniors. I ran a successful junior program back in the UK with some of those juniors now going on to represent their county.
I offer lessons to individuals or groups. If you feel there is a group of you & you would like to cover not only your swing but your short game & course management too then i can also design a individual package for yourself.

Out and About Tour Leaders Wanted
Do you have a good idea for a tour here in Singapore? Or how about an area of interest or expertise that relates to some aspect of this fascinating city state? Please think about leading one of our “Out and About” tours in 2012. If you have never set up a tour before, Lynda and I would be more than happy to give you as much help and advice as you want - and will share the leading duties as well, if you like. It’s a great way to learn more about a new area of the city and pass on that knowledge to an interested group of friends. Our tours usually take place on the fourth Wednesday of the month from about 9:30 to 1:00, including lunch.

REGISTRATION POLICY
The Canadian Association of Singapore (CAS) would like to inform all its members that due to planning requirements, full payment must accompany all registrations. Only for those events that specify, will payment be accepted at the door. Please note that registrations submitted after the deadline date will be referred to the event organizer. CAS members in good standing are eligible for CAS events at the member’s fee and should be listed as members upon registration. Visitors to Singapore, who are houseguests of CAS members, are eligible for CAS events at the member’s cost and should be listed as House Guest(s) upon registration. Non-members are people who reside in Singapore, but are not members of CAS. Note that members’ registrations are given priority.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The Canadian Association of Singapore would like to inform its members that 72 hours notice is required before an event if you wish to receive a full refund. With regards to the Maple Leaf Ball, eight days notice prior to the event is required to receive a full refund. If you cancel less than the days mentioned above, there will be no refund. This policy is necessary due to the cancellation clauses required by venues where the events take place
