TERRY FOX DOCUMENTARY – WATCH THE FILM

Join us for casual cocktails and chat with our hosts, Eastern & Oriental Berhad (E&O) as we learn more about their St. Mary and Quayside properties in Penang, Malaysia.

Then - be inspired by Canadian hero Terry Fox, as we watch the documentary film directed by Steve Nash and Ezra Holland.

6.30 – 7.00pm: Catered cocktail reception
7.00 – 7.30pm: E&O presentation on St Mary & Quayside/Q&A
7.30 – 8.30pm: Terry Fox Documentary (50 min film)
8.30 – 9.30pm: Social hour

 This is a complimentary event and as seating is limited, please RSVP to events@canadians.org.sg before Tuesday January 18, 2011.  Entry by guest list only please and confirmed guests will receive an email reply.  Guests 12 years of age and above are welcome.

Registration : Sign-up to participate in the run. To assist with the Run day logistics participants are encouraged to register on-line. You will be able to pledge and purchase your T-shirt on-line using Paypal.

Out & About in Singapore:

Friday, 28 January
Walking Tour: Tanjong Pagar

We’ll begin at the historic Tanjong Pagar Railway tation and go on to explore some of the older and newer aspects of the neighbourhood from there.

There will be no cost for this tour, but you will need to bring an EZ Link card with at least $5.00 on it to gain access to the roof gardens of the Pinnacle@Duxton building.

We will plan on a lunch afterwards which will cost $20 to $25 per person. Please let us know whether you intend to stay for the lunch and whether you have any special dietary requirements.

The tour will be limited to 25 participants.

Event Policies
REGISTRATION POLICY
The Canadian Association of Singapore (CAS) would like to inform all its members that due to planning requirements, full payment must accompany all registrations. Only for those events that specify, will payment be accepted at the door. Please note that registrations submitted after the deadline date will be referred to the event organizer. CAS members in good standing are eligible for CAS events at the member’s fee and should be listed as members upon registration. Visitors to Singapore, who are houseguests of CAS members, are eligible for CAS events at the member’s cost and should be listed as House Guest(s) upon registration. Non-members are people who reside in Singapore, but are not members of CAS. Note that members’ registrations are given priority.

CONFIRMATION POLICY
You will receive confirmation of your registration by e-mail. When in doubt, please call the office at 6734-5954 or e-mail at info@canadians.org.sg

CANCELLATION POLICY
The Canadian Association of Singapore would like to inform its members that 72 hours notice is required before an event if you wish to receive a full refund. With regards to the Maple Leaf Ball, eight days notice prior to the event is required to receive a full refund. If you cancel less than the days mentioned above, there will be no refund. This policy is necessary due to the cancellation clauses required by venues where the events take place
